Compressor Oils
Mobil Rarus™ SHC 1020 Series is a series of high-performance oils developed specifically to lubricate heavy-duty screw and vane air compressors. These oils are particularly suitable for heavy duty applications under high end compression temperatures or where mineral-based products cannot meet the demands of extended oil change intervals. They are formulated with specially designed wax-free synthetic hydrocarbon-based oils and a high-tech additive system. These oils provide unparalleled equipment protection and reliability for compressors operating under conditions where other air compressor oils may not meet their expectations.
Mobil Rarus SHC 1020 Series oils offer excellent protection and unique oxidation and thermal degradation resistance, far superior to mineral oils. Its unique formula provides the ability to reduce maintenance costs by minimizing equipment problems, sediment carryover and accumulation. The high viscosity index ensures effective lubrication at high temperatures.
Compared to mineral-based oils, Mobil Rarus SHC 1020 Series oils significantly reduce the possibility of fire and explosion. These oils cause essentially no deposit formation and their high auto-ignition temperature increases performance and safety. Thanks to its unique water separation characteristics, it eliminates emulsion formation and filter-related problems and eliminates the need for frequent maintenance.
Compressor Oils
Mobil Rarus™ 800 Series is a line of superior performance air compressor oils designed primarily for the lubrication of heavy-duty reciprocating air compressors, but is not recommended for air compressors not used in breathing air applications. They are designed to meet or exceed the toughest conditions from major compressor manufacturers. They are formulated with a high-tech additive system and design-specific synthetic base oils that provide superior equipment protection and reliability for compressors operating in conditions where mineral oil-based products do not meet expectations. Mobil Rarus 800 Series lubricants significantly reduce the potential for fire and explosion compared to mineral oil-based products. It eliminates higher auto-ignition temperatures and deposit formation, improving both performance and safety. Its outstanding water separation properties reduce emulsion formation and problems with water transport into the air distribution system and equipment. They are recommended or approved by many leading compressor manufacturers.
Compressor Oils
Mobil Rarus™ 400 Series compressor oils include superior performance unleaded air compressor oils designed to meet the stringent requirements of leading compressor manufacturers. Formulated with high-quality mineral base oils and a high-performance additive system to provide superior equipment protection and reliability for compressors operating in mild to harsh conditions. These oils provide excellent protection against wear and reduce equipment problems, minimizing scale build-up and carry-over, thus reducing maintenance costs. Thanks to their high FZG Ratings, Mobil Rarus 400 Series offer excellent oils for compressor systems with gears and bearings and are also an excellent choice as crankcase and cylinder oils.
