Places of Use

Mobil Rarus 400 Series oils are recommended for single and multistage air compressors. It is especially effective in continuous high temperature operations. The maximum compressed air temperature according to DIN 51506 is 220 °C. They are generally suitable for use in Rotari compressors and piston compressors where low viscosity oil is used. Rarus 400 Series oils are recommended for units with a history of excessive oil degradation, poor valve performance or sludge formation. They are compatible with all metals used in compressor construction and mineral-oil compatible elastomers used in gaskets, O-rings and shaft seals.
Mobil Rarus 400 Series oils are not recommended for air compressors for respiratory compressed air applications.
