Places of Use
Mobil Rarus SHC 1020 Series oils are mainly designed for screw and vane compressors. These oils provide successful results especially in uninterrupted operations at high temperatures, where discharge temperatures can reach up to 200ºC. Rarus SHC 1020 Series oils are recommended for units with a history of excessive oil degradation, problematic valve performance and sludge formation. These oils are compatible with all metals used in compressor manufacturing and with conventional mineral-based air compressor oils; However, if they are mixed with these oils, their overall performance capacity will decrease.
Mobil Rarus SHC 1020 Series oils are not recommended for breathing apparatus air compressor applications and should not be used in compressors with discharge temperatures higher than the product flash point.
