Mobil Rarus™ 800 Series is a range of premium performance air compressor lubricants primarily intended for the lubrication of heavy-duty reciprocating air compressors, but is not recommended for air compressors used in breathing air applications.

Places of Use
Mobil Rarus 800 Series oils are recommended for single and multi-stage air compressors; however, it is not recommended for air compressors used in breathing air applications. They are particularly efficient for continuous high temperature operation with air outlet temperatures up to 200ºC. They are suitable for reciprocating and rotary type compressors, especially with the lower viscosity classes used in rotary type compressors. Rarus 800 Series oils are recommended for units with excessive oil degradation, poor valve performance or deposit formation. It is compatible with all metals and mineral oils used in compressor production, but mixing will reduce performance properties. Mobil Rarus 800 Series oils; It is compatible with seals produced from fluorinated hydrocarbon, silicone, fluorinated silicone, polysulfide, Viton, Teflon and high nitrile Buna N NBR (over 36% acrylonitrile) materials. Materials not recommended include low-nitrile Bune N NBR (below 30% acrylonitrile), natural and butyl rubbers, Neoprene, polyacrylate, styrene/butadiene and chlorosulfone polyethylene.
Oil resistant paints are not affected by Mobil Rarus 800 Series; However, lacquer, varnish, PVC and acrylic paints are not recommended.

*All air compressor types; However, it is especially recommended for reciprocating air compressors.
*Units operating under severe conditions
*Multi-stage units with a history of excessive oil degradation from mineral oil-based products

*Compressors with critical gears and bearings
