Our hard rubber pads provide stable, continuous support for 3M fiber discs on right-angle and other sanding and grinding tools. They are compatible with most types of 3M faceplates – it's up to you to choose the density that's ideal for your job. The pads work with the vulcanized fiber backing on the abrasive disc and help it blend in with the surface for a smooth, consistent finish when grinding and blasting. They reduce the vibration and agglomeration that degrade the discs and help ensure that the ceramic mineral abrasive on the fiber disc continuously breaks down on its own as designed, instead of breaking off into unused lumps.
