Mobil SHC™ 634
Mobil SHC 600 Series products have a lower drag coefficient compared to mineral oils due to the molecular structure of the base oils used. This results in low fluid friction in the load zone of unfavorable surfaces such as gears and rolling bearings. It provides low power consumption thanks to low fluid friction, lower operating temperatures and better gear efficiency. Mobil SHC™ 600 Series oils have demonstrated up to a 3.6% improvement in energy efficiency in controlled laboratory testing (*). The formula of Mobil SHC 600 Series also provides multi-metal compatibility with rust and corrosion resistance, anti-wear, dewatering, foam control and air separation properties, as well as excellent resistance to oxidation and deposit formation at high temperatures. Mobil SHC 600 Series oils are also compatible with seals and other materials of equipment where mineral oils are normally used.

Places of Use
Mobil SHC 600 Series oils are used in a wide variety of gear and bearing applications; It is recommended for use in situations where high or low temperatures are present or where standard oils cannot provide satisfactory oil life due to operating temperatures or bulk oil temperatures or where an increase in efficiency is desired. They are particularly effective in applications where maintenance costs are high due to replacement of machine parts, system cleaning and frequent lubricant changes. Certain applications require selection of the correct viscosity grade, including:
• Gearboxes filled for lifetime use, especially high-ratio/low-efficiency worm gears
• Hard-to-reach gearboxes where oil changes are difficult
• Low temperature applications where seasonal oil changes can be avoided, such as ski lifts
• Mixer bearing bearings and roller bearing bearings where high temperatures are present
• Plastic cylinders
• Challenging centrifugal applications, including marine applications
• A/C Railway Tow Vehicles
• Mobil SHC 626, 627, 629 and 630 are suitable for oil friction, natural gas compressing screw compressors, gas recovery, CO2 and other process gases used in the natural gas industry.
• Mobil SHC 629, 630, 632, 634, 636 and 639 are approved by Siemens AG for use in Flender gearboxes
