Mobile PEGASUS 610
Explanation
Mobil Pegasus™ 610 is a high-performance gas engine oil designed for the lubrication of modern medium- and high-speed four-stroke engines operating primarily on fuels containing corrosive substances such as hydrogen sulfide or halogens (compounds containing chlorine, fluorine, etc.). These engines generally have a lean-mixture turbocharger design, where sufficient oil is prevented from reaching the valve guide area due to high manifold pressure, resulting in lower oil consumption, but resulting in faster valve guide and valve collapse. The mentioned effect also increases the risk of corrosion and acidic effects on the parts at the top of the cylinders caused by the acidic substances formed during combustion. Mobil Pegasus 610 is a high TBN gas engine oil containing 1.0% ash with a unique alkalinity reserve designed to offset the adverse effects of these corrosive substances on engine parts. Its excellent protection properties against corrosion provide protection against wear in the cylinder and valve area and bearings, thus extending engine life and reducing maintenance costs. Mobil Pegasus 610 provides excellent anti-wear and anti-friction performance, helping to minimize piston friction and scraping, as well as cylinder liner and piston ring wear. This oil can also be used to lubricate reciprocating air compressors used in landfill gas and biomass gas applications.
