MOBILITH SHC 460

Explanation

Mobilith SHC™ Series greases are superior performance products designed for a wide variety of applications operating at extreme temperatures. They combine the unique properties of synthetic base oils with the properties of a high-quality lithium complex thickener. The paraffin-free structure of synthetic oils and their low drag coefficient (compared to mineral oils) provide excellent pumpability at low temperatures and very low starting and operating torque. These products offer the potential for energy savings and lower operating temperatures in the load zones of spherical roller and ball bearings. Lithium complex thickener helps provide excellent adhesion to the surface, structural stability and water resistance properties. These greases have a high level of chemical stability. It is formulated with a special combination of additives to provide excellent protection against wear, rust and corrosion, as well as providing appropriate operating viscosity at high and low temperatures. Mobilith SHC Series greases are produced in seven different classes, with base oil viscosity ranging from ISO VG 100 to 1500 and NLGI class 2 to 00.

Features

  • Unique high temperature and low heat performance
  • Excellent protection against wear, rust and corrosion
  • Excellent thermal stability and oxidation resistance
  • Low drag coefficient
  • Covers both high and low viscosity classes
  • Superior structural stability in aqueous environments

Places of Use

  • Mobilith SHC 460 is an NLGI 1.5 rated extreme pressure grease containing ISO VG 460 synthetic base oil, recommended for demanding industrial and marine applications. It provides superior bearing protection under heavy loads at low and medium speeds and in applications where water resistance is a critical factor. Mobilith SHC 460 has demonstrated unparalleled performance in rolling mills, paper mills and marine applications. Recommended application temperature is between -30 ºC* and 150 ºC.

Specifications and Approvals

  • DIN 51825:2004-06 – KP HC 1-2 N-40
